So, I just got back from The Rift (the Torchwood Convention in Porchester Hall, London). It was fucking unreal. Seriously, it was exactly like the show itself: relatively small and stuffed to the brim with sex and crack. The good kind.

Oh boy. Where do I start?

Watching Jerry Springer re-runs, natch. I can't help it, I flove this show like woah. It would totally be my guilty pleasure if I felt at all guilty about it. I don't even know.

My new Torchwood books came through the post today! I'm almost half way through The Twilight Streets and... well, I love it. Other Lauren knows. I've been texting her about it for the last however many hours.

Here's the thing with this book:

We all love us some Wilson, right? And Robert Sean Leonard is adorable, agreed? Well, now that we have that settled...


This post is me essentially plugging the Robert Sean Leonard Birthday Drive. It's basically a fund-raising drive for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, for RSL's upcoming birthday (February 28th people, mark your calenders). It's a truly incredible cause.

Alternatively, if you want to, you could donate at my personal page, help me reach $300 for the drive (it's times like these when my extreme sense of competitiveness emerges...). I mean, it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy afterwards - sure, I may be $50 less (although it's only about £25 to me), but I figure that this is a better way to spend my money than on DVDs I don't need or alcohol I don't want to drink. My Dad will hate me for it - you should have heard his lectures about my strike fund contributions (and that was, like, £5...)


What I'm trying to say is, please donate. Even if it's only, like, $2 - every little counts, you know? Besides, we all want to help me reach $300, thus keeping my hyper-competitive self happy, right? Because otherwise, there's a good chance that I'll go try and donate another £125 to reach the goal myself and... well, a girl's gotta eat, you know?



I should never enter anything remotely resembling a competition. Ever. The fact that I'm even calling this thing a competition is a bad enough sign in itself. I suppose it doesn't really matter when, at the end of the day, it all goes to benefit families suffering from the effects of AIDS and HIV across America. There could be worse outcomes ;)

Anyway, it's my ickle brother's birthday today, so I think we're eating out somewhere. No where fancy, I'm sure - I just hope it's not the bloody carvery place round the corner. They may be convenient, but their food sucks beyond belief.






You-Know-What is tomorrow (I'm going to try and go all day without saying it). I am trying to restrain my squees. I am entirely calm. Calm.

OK, just got hold of my (oh-so-pretty) Doctor Who Magazine for this month. Lots and lots of Torchwood spoilers (and pretty pictures).



There's obviously tonnes more in the magazine - be sure to pick it up. Anyway, are we excited?

My close-to-a-minor-breakdown mood has disappeared and been replaced by delirious happiness. Yes folks, mood swings. The answer to everything.


So, you know how I said I wouldn't round up any more Torchwood spoilers for a while? That was obviously a complete lie.

Especially given the information that has just surfaced.

The BBCA have released a press release with the episode summaries of the first 5 episodes, like the wonderful people they are.

Next, for those who can access the TW Beeb website, go to 'making-of' and you'll find some awesome behind-the-scenes footage. It's pretty much this - the Torchwood cast are complete love.

Tonnes of new interviews are also floating around. Am particularly liking the new Ianto spoilers from GDL - looki-it. There's also a video of an interview with him with even more spoilers. Kind of awesome.


I'm such a spoiler whore. It's ridiculous.

I've been feeling unproductive recently (an unfortunate side-effect of sleeping in till 5pm and not actually doing anything, it turns out), so I'm going to do another Torchwood spoiler round-up... thing.

Lookit at the Golden Globes noms. They're pretty good, I think. I generally don't know as much about the Globes as I do about the Emmys and I doubt I'll reach any kind of internet-fame again, but that's not going to stop me from indulging in a little squeeing/complaining about the noms.

So, over the past two days, we've gotten crap loads of Torchwood spoilers, thanks to the recent screening of the first episode, 'Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang'.

So, a round-up first, because I can be anal like that.

Digital Spy is also reporting that series 2 will be starting on Wednesday 16 January on BBC2 :D Note that this has not been confirmed yet.


So now, you get to watch me get extremely excited.
